2 huge reasons the Packers should be targeting LB Kenneth Murray at No. 30

The Green Bay Packers were one win away from playing in Super Bowl 54. Unfortunately, they came up flat against the San Francisco 49ers and were blown out by a final score of 37-20. Now, the team will be looking to make some necessary improvements this offseason.

Looking ahead to the 2020 NFL Draft, the Packers will have the No. 30 overall pick. Brian Gutekunst has quite a few directions he could go with the pick, but there is on prospect in particular that would make perfect sense.

Oklahoma standout linebacker Kenneth Murray has big-time potential. There are quite a few teams who could take him in the first round before the Packers, but they should have him at No. 1 on their big board at No. 30.

In 2019 with the Sooners, Murray ended up recording 102 total tackles to go along with four sacks and four defended passes. Back in 2018, he had even bigger numbers with 155 total tackles and 4.5 sacks.

Green Bay needs to focus on their defense again this offseason. They also need an offensive playmaker or two, but the defense was the reason they struggled so bad against the 49ers.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at two huge reasons the Packers should be targeting Murray in the 2020 NFL Draft.
