2 players the San Francisco 49ers should trade up for in the 2020 NFL Draft

The San Francisco 49ers came up just short of winning Super Bowl 54 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Kyle Shanahan and company had a solid lead in the fourth quarter, but were forced to watch as Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs took over to end the game and stole a championship.

Now, the 49ers are more motivated than ever to get back to the big game. John Lynch has become one of the most respected general managers in the NFL and San Francisco needs him to work his magic this offseason.

While spending big money isn’t going to be in the cards for the 49ers with future big contract extensions in mind, the 2020 NFL Draft will be an opportunity for the team to make a splash. Unfortunately, because they made it all the way to the Super Bowl, the 49ers will not be on the clock until the No. 31 overall pick.

Obviously, a lot of the major impact players will be gone by that point. That could force Lynch to consider trading up. Contenders trade up for young talent all the time and it wouldn’t be shocking to see San Francisco make a move.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at two players the 49ers should absolutely consider trading up for in the NFL Draft.
