2020 NFL Draft: 4-round mock draft for the Green Bay Packers

Round 1, Pick 30: Kenneth Murray (LB, Oklahoma)

Leading up to the draft, Packers fans have been torn on wanting a wide receiver or linebacker in the first round. However, with there being an allotment of skilled receivers in this year’s draft class, Green Bay can afford to wait.

On the other hand, it’s looking more and more likely that Blake Martinez won’t be back with the Packers in 2020. Martinez has been a starting inside linebacker for Green Bay since 2016 and has led the team in tackles over the last three seasons.

With a need for an inside linebacker, Kenneth Murray would be an ideal choice for the Packers. Murray is an extremely versatile linebacker that can be moved around in the defense.

Above all, Murray’s athleticism should make him a better coverage-linebacker than Martinez was in his career. While there are going to be some talented wideouts available at No. 30, Murray is an excellent choice for the Packers.
