Round 4, Pick 126: Tyler Johnson (WR, Minnesota)
As previously mentioned, the need at wide receiver for the Packers is urgent with the window gradually closing for Aaron Rodgers to win another Super Bowl. Considering that, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Green Bay added two receivers in the first four rounds.
Following the selection of Mims with the No. 62 pick, Tyler Johnson could be a receiver that is on the Packers’ radar in the fourth round. Even though Green Bay usually doesn’t like to entertain anything involving Minnesota, this should be an exception.
At Minnesota, Johnson showed that he’s capable of stretching the field and beating defenders with his speed. With a quarterback like Rodgers — who likes to extend plays — you can never have enough deep threats.
Some Packers fans are still holding out hope that Valdes-Scantling can become a go-to option in the offense or Allen Lazard can develop into a formidable target. Nevertheless, selecting Johnson and Mims would absolutely shore up a position of need.
