3 cornerbacks the Falcons could target at No. 16 in the 2020 NFL Draft

The NFL is trending toward being a passing-oriented league and the Atlanta Falcons shouldn’t be comfortable with the current state of their secondary. In that case, that should lead them to make the cornerback position their main priority in this year’s draft.

For months, the Falcons have been linked as a team that could select K’Lavon Chaisson, the talented edge rusher out of LSU with the 16th overall pick. However, with Atlanta signing Dante Fowler in free agency, they could turn their attention to other needs on the roster.

While the Falcons brought in Fowler, they chose to part ways with Desmond Trufant, who spent seven seasons with the organization. Following Trufant’s departure, Atlanta could use a viable replacement at the cornerback position.

Luckily for Atlanta, there are quite a few cornerbacks that could be available when they are on the clock in the first round. With that being said, here are three cornerbacks the Falcons could target with the No. 16 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
