Reach 500 Receiving Yards

With Melvin Gordon being a more established receiving threat out of the backfield than Phillip Lindsay, it appears quite likely this will be a key area in Gordon’s repertoire. This wasn’t needed quite as much by the Los Angeles Chargers considering they have Austin Ekeler.

Getting Gordon out in space as a receiver could unlock another dimension of the Broncos’ offense. It would help take pressure from a receiving corps that will feature a lot of inexperienced players by forcing the defense to have to take additional layers into account.

There has already been a seasons in Gordon’s career where he has exceeded 400 receiving yards. While he failed to reach this mark in 2019, a different set of teammates in a new offensive scheme should help to change that. He should receive more targets and produce more yards per reception.

As long as Gordon doesn’t miss time due to injury, he will manage to reach 500 receiving yards for the season. He would manage to set a new single-season career-high in this category and it would play a critical role in revitalizing the trajectory of his career.
