The Indianapolis Colts put together a disappointing season following the surprise retirement of former franchise-quarterback Andrew Luck. They ended with a 7-9 record and missed the playoffs.
In an effort to take the next step as a team in 2020, the Colts made upgrades to its roster by signing more veteran talent. Indianapolis managed to add Philip Rivers, Xavier Rhodes, T.J. Carrie, and Trey Burton in free agency. Their most impactful move of all was trading for DeForest Buckner.
The addition of Buckner will add a needed dynamic three-technique to the Colts defense to pair with Darius Leonard.
Leonard put together a highly impressive 2019 campaign. In 13 appearances, he totaled 121 combined tackles (seven for loss), five sacks, six QB hits, five interceptions, seven passes defensed, and two forced fumbles.
With that being said, there are three early bold predictions for Colts linebacker Darius Leonard in 2020.
