The Carolina Panthers officially entered the post-Cam Newton era after signing Teddy Bridgewater. The impact Christian McCaffrey provides will be important in the transition process for the organization.

The quarterback position wasn’t the only spot that experienced a change either. The Panthers moved on from former head coach Ron River and hired Matt Rhule to replace him. They also brought in Joe Brady to serve as their new offensive coordinator.

Despite all of the change, the Panthers will certainly continue to utilize McCaffrey at a significant volume. In fact, he may become even more efficient with greater talent around him and through playing in a better offensive system.

McCaffrey put together a truly incredible performance in 2019. He totaled 2,392 total yards from scrimmage and combined for 19 touchdowns. He was easily one of the league’s most impactful players earning him a four-year, $64 million contract extension.
