In today’s NFL, where teams tend to throw the ball more often than not, it is crucial to have a formidable pass rush. After a tumultuous season in terms of getting after the quarterback, the Seattle Seahawks are using this offseason to improve their pass-rushing unit.
Last offseason, the Seahawks were able to acquire Jadeveon Clowney in a trade with the Houston Texans. Additionally, they decided to use their first-round pick on L.J. Collier, a defensive end out of TCU.
Despite their efforts to address the defensive front last offseason, Seattle failed to create consistent pressure off of the edge. As a matter of fact, the Seahawks finished with only 28 sacks in 2019 (31st in the NFL).
As for this offseason, the Seahawks have reunited with Bruce Irvin and they are open to the idea of re-signing Clowney. Besides free agency, Seattle could decide to add another pass rusher in this year’s draft. With that in mind, here are three edge rushers the Seahawks could target at No. 27 in the 2020 NFL Draft.
