3 edge rushers the Texans should still target in free agency

The Houston Texans are still under fire after deciding to trade Deandre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals at the beginning of free agency. Nevertheless, Bill O’Brien and company have to maintain their focus on how they can improve the roster this offseason.

Less than a month before the 2019 season began, the Texans manufactured a trade that sent Jadeveon Clowney to the Seattle Seahawks. Even though Clowney struggled — for his standards — with the Seahawks, Houston still missed his presence this past season.

With Clowney in Seattle, the Texans finished with just 31 sacks in 2019 (sixth-fewest in the NFL). After a downtrodden year in the sack department, Houston should be in the market for an edge rusher this offseason.

After two weeks have passed in free agency, Houston currently has around $35 million remaining in cap space, per Spotrac. Taking that into consideration, here are three edge rushers the Texans should still target in free agency.
