3 ideal targets for the Cowboys at No. 17 in the NFL Draft

2. K’Lavon Chaisson, EDGE, LSU

Moving to the defensive side of the football, the Cowboys should look to improve their pass rush if possible. At No. 17 overall, there is only one name that would make sense. That would be LSU standout edge rusher K’Lavon Chaisson.

Chaisson is one of the top edge rushers in the 2020 NFL Draft class and would be an intriguing addition for the Dallas defense. Last season with LSU, he racked up 60 total tackles to go along with 6.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and two defended passes.

While those numbers aren’t “elite” numbers, they are certainly impressive enough to make him a first-round prospect. The Cowboys could wait until the second or third round to target a pass rusher, but if Chaisson is available, expect them to have some interest in him.
