The San Francisco 49ers came as close as it gets to winning a Super Bowl by holding a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter but ultimately losing. They will look to bounce back during the upcoming 2020 season.
A key element to the lack of results the 49ers achieved in the super Bowl was an insufficient amount of big plays. With Emmanuel Sanders departing in free agency for the New Orleans Saints, it placed greater importance onSan Francisco adding an explosive playmaker in the NFL Draft.
In order to be in a position to add a talent of that kind, the 49ers traded up to the No. 25 selection and used it to take wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk out of Arizona State. While it can be argued whether it was necessary for San Francisco to trade up, the final result should provide a boost, nevertheless.
Aiyuk put together an impressive senior campaign for the Sun Devils. He racked up 65 receptions resulting in 1,192 yards and eight touchdowns despite playing with a true freshman quarterback in Jaden Daniels.
With that being said, here are three numbers for rookie wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk to target in 2020.
