Reach 800 Receiving Yards
The only player capable of filling the yardage void left behind by Emmanuel Sanders’ departure is Brandon Aiyuk. The significant investment the San Francisco 49ers made to land the Arizona State product suggests he will be relied upon to help move the chains in the passing game.
There were a variety of productive rookie receivers in the yardage department in 2019 and Aiyuk could stack up closely. The rookie class was led by A.J. Brown (1,051) and was followed by Terry McLaurin (919), D.K. Metcalf (900), Deebo Samuel (802), and Darius Slayton (740).
Considering the 49ers’ need for an instant impact, Aiyuk should look to target 800 receiving yards. Achieving such a total out of the gate would establish a strong foundation to start his NFL career.
