3 numbers for 49ers rookie WR Brandon Aiyuk to target in 2020

Reach 55 Receptions

No longer having Emmanuel Sanders in the mix means the San Francisco 49ers will need another reliable target to consistently turn to throughout the course of games. This is a prime opportunity for Brandon Aiyuk to step in from day one and make his presence felt.

Last season, the rookie receiver that racked up the most receptions was Diontae Johnson with 59 but the rest of the group was very close. There were eight total first-year wideouts that exceeded 45 receptions in 2019, so that’s a relatively low bar for someone like Aiyuk.

The involvement Aiyuk will receive within the 49ers’ offense should naturally provide real opportunity to rack up receptions. A figure for him to target should be 55 receptions considering the circumstances.
