3 perfect targets for the Cowboys’ defense in free agency

The Dallas Cowboys are entering the NFL offseason with the knowledge that they need to add some talent to their roster. After missing the playoffs in disappointing fashion, the franchise is entering a new era of football.

Gone are the days of Jason Garrett as the team’s head coach. Dallas made the decision to move on from him and quickly hired his replacement. Mike McCarthy is the new head coach in town and is ready to push the Cowboys back towards the postseason.

In order to make a big leap from 2019 in 2020, the team needs to add more defensive talent. They have quite a few building blocks in place, but there are some major positions of need to focus on.

Jerry Jones cannot afford to be stingy with money this offseason. He needs to lock up both Amari Cooper and Dak Prescott with new contract. That could force him to look for bargain deals in free agency.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at three perfect targets for the Cowboys on the defensive side of the football in free agency.
