3. RB Rashaad Penny
Penny has shown flashes over his first two seasons (5.7 yards per carry last year), but now he’s working his way back from a torn ACL.
Chris Carson has been fine as Seattle’s proverbial lead back. But occasional ball security issues and a tendency to get dinged with injuries, have held him back more than anyone would like.
Penny is unlikely to be ready for Week 1, and he’s an early candidate to be placed on the PUP list, which would cost him the first six games next season. But if the former first-round pick out of San Diego State is ready to go when it matters most, down the stretch of the regular season and into a prospective playoff run, he can be a big factor for the Seahawks in 2020.
