3 potential cornerback options for the 49ers in free agency

The San Francisco 49ers came up short of hoisting the Lombardi trophy as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated them in Super Bowl 54. After the heartbreaking loss, the 49ers have their work cut out for them this offseason.

Unlike in recent seasons, San Francisco isn’t going to have much cap space to work with and there are a few notable players they’d like to re-sign. At the same time, they have a few things that need to be addressed in free agency or in the 2020 NFL Draft.

If the 49ers made a grocery list for needs this offseason, cornerback would be a position that is near the top. There’s a good chance the 49ers could select a cornerback in the draft and sign one in free agency.
