Reunion with DL coach Jim Tomsula

One of the main reasons fans are excited about this Aldon Smith signing is because he’ll be reunited with his former defensive line coach, Jim Tomsula.

Tomsula was a member of the San Francisco 49ers coaching staff when Smith was drafted back in 2011. During the time the two were together, Smith had his lone All Pro campaign in 2012, where he totaled 19.5 sacks, 29 quarterback hits, 18 tackles for loss and 66 total tackles.

If Tomsula can get the same type of production out Smith in 2020, Dallas will have one of the most ferocious front sevens in football next season.
