2. Houston Has The Money
Last season, Gordon held out for a good chunk of the season due to a contract holdout. He wanted to be paid the money he deserved. That never ended up happening with the Chargers.
Gordon should look for a new team that will show him the desire to pay him what he wants. Los Angeles may be willing to do that now, but they weren’t at the time. That should carry some weight with Gordon.
The Texans enter the NFL offseason with around $41 million in cap space. They could easily afford the kind of money Gordon is looking for. If they offer him that deal, Gordon should take it without hesitation.
