3 reasons the Browns should make a major run at Jadeveon Clowney

The month of March has passed and Jadeveon Clowney remains unsigned. With the Cleveland Browns still possessing plenty of salary cap space, they could make a run at the star defensive end if they wanted to do so.

Many of the NFL’s top free agents are no longer available with Clowney being the head and shoulders top option remaining. There is expected to be plenty of movement in the defensive end market once he finally makes his decision as many veterans are waiting to see where he ends up.

The current landscape for suitors reportedly interested in Clowney’s services isn’t long as many teams previously thought to be potential landing spots went with alternative options. Mostly the Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans have remained in the mix.

Clowney is coming off a 2019 season where he was routinely a disruptive presence for the Seattle Seahawks on the defensive line. He produced totals of 31 combined tackles (seven for loss), three sacks, four forced fumbles, and three passes defensed.

With that being said, there are three reasons the Browns should try to make a push to sign Jadeveon Clowney.
