3 reasons the Detroit Lions should trade down in the 2020 NFL Draft

The NFL Draft is great in so many ways. The amount of what-if’s and hypotheticals surrounding it are enough to drive any sane man crazy. Luckily for sports fans, sane is rarely associated in the same context.

One of the most unpredictable parts of the draft is teams trading up or trading back for one reason or another. Sure, you can make your best educated guess on why someone would, but there is a reason mock drafts rarely include trades and its unpredictability is the main culprit.

A move that is popular in the draft world and makes the most sense of any, is the Detroit Lions moving back from the No. 3 spot. I’m going to highlight three reasons why you shouldn’t be surprised if the Lions decide to do so.
