3 reasons the Raiders should trade Derek Carr this offseason

The Las Vegas Raiders’ quarterback position has been an on-going discussion on whether or not Derek Carr is the future of the team since Jon Gruden made his return back to the sideline. While Carr has faced substantial criticism in recent years, he’s also given the Raiders’ organization stability at quarterback, which they had lacked for many years leading up to the 2014 draft, when Carr was selected in the second round.

Carr started his NFL career with an intriguing outlook moving forward, but in recent seasons he hasn’t been able to take the leap that many had hoped. He ranks top three in Raiders’ franchise history among qualified quarterbacks in completion percentage, passing yards, and touchdowns.

However, Gruden is regarded as a quarterback guru and at this time it may be in the Raiders’ best interest to move on from Carr as the team embarks on a new journey in Las Vegas.
