3 running back targets for the Rams in the 2020 NFL Draft

Clyde Edwards-Helaire

Again, the Rams don’t have many picks to play with in the 2020 NFL Draft. But if they do choose to take a running back early on, Clyde Edwards-Helaire should definitely be on their radar.

While Joe Burrow was busy breaking records for LSU in 2019, Edwards-Helaire quietly had himself a breakout season. The junior running back finished with 1,414 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns as LSU took home the National Championship trophy.

Standing at 5-foot-7, 207 pounds, Edwards-Helaire packs a punch for his stature and isn’t afraid of contact. Above all, Edwards-Helaire proved he can be used in the passing attack, corraling 55 receptions for 453 yards and a touchdown in 2019.

If the Rams are looking for a dynamic running back that could become an every-down starter, Edwards-Helaire should be someone that they have their sights set on — if he’s still available — with one of their two third-round picks.
