3 running backs the Bills should still target in free agency

Carlos Hyde

The one running back that perfectly fits the mold of what the Bills should be looking for is Carlos Hyde. Hyde, a former second-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers, spent the 2019 season with the Houston Texans.

In his lone season with the Texans, Hyde scampered for a career-high 1,070 yards and six touchdowns. Surprisingly enough, this past season was the first time that Hyde eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards in his entire career.

After having injuries hinder him in recent seasons, Hyde was able to suit up in all 16 games in 2019. Watching him excel in a featured role with the Texans should pique the interest of the Bills.

With Singletary ready to be the starting running back, he’s more of a dual-threat back than Hyde, capable of running routes if need be. On the other hand, Hyde would give Buffalo a short-yardage running back that can instill a sense of physicality in the offense.
