3 running backs the Chiefs should target in the 2020 NFL Draft

The Kansas City Chiefs are still fresh off of their impressive Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers. While there was some adversity in 2019, Patrick Mahomes and company were able to keep things positive and power through.

Looking ahead to the upcoming NFL offseason, the Chiefs do have some needs to address if they want a chance to repeat as champions. Among those needs is finding a true starting running back.

LeSean McCoy is hitting free agency this offseason and the Chiefs are not going to bring him back. Damien Williams is a solid running back, but he isn’t a true every-down back. Kansas City needs to find a new option.

While they could look into free agency, their best bet would be to target a running back in the 2020 NFL Draft. It is a fairly deep class that could net them an immediate impact player in the third through fifth round. There are also a couple in the first or second round that would be nice additions.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at three running backs the Chiefs should take a look at in the NFL Draft.
