The Cleveland Browns made progress in their rebuilding efforts using free agency. Now, they will turn to the 2020 NFL Draft to add some prospects that could potentially bring them an additional boost.
In order to experience significant improvement from the 6-10 record the Browns posted in 2019, the right choice at No. 10 will be important. That’s especially the case if they seek to compete with the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC North division-title.
With the No. 10 pick, there are a variety of options the Browns have that would make sense for their team. The consensus expectation is that they will select an offensive tackle but there are a variety of different factors that could impact that decision.
What we at least know currently is that a wide receiver selection is unlikely given they already have Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. That adds potential clarity as multiple selections after the Browns are expected to be receivers.
The main influences for the Browns will be what happens earlier in the top 10 of the draft order. If more teams decide to go with an offensive tackle, a player at a different position could unexpectedly fall and be worthwhile taking with the No. 10 pick.
With that being said, there are three sleeper options for the Browns with the No. 10 pick.
