Phillip Dorsett
Before diving into the wide receivers that the Packers should target, it’s important to note that they don’t have much cap space to work with. As a matter of fact, Green Bay currently has $12.3 million in cap space, according to Spotrac.
With that taken into consideration, the Packers could choose to add one of the receivers that could be had for cheap. Of those options, Phillip Dorsett is an intriguing name that is still available on the open market.
Dorsett, a former first-round pick, has spent his last three seasons with the New England Patriots. Just this past season, Dorsett hauled in 29 passes for 397 yards and a career-high five touchdowns.
Even though Dorsett isn’t an exciting addition, he would be a wideout that could stretch the field vertically, averaging 16 or more yards per reception in two of his five seasons. Above all, Dorsett should be a receiver that won’t break the bank for the Packers.
