4 perfect defensive targets for the Colts in NFL free agency

Robert Quinn

The one area on that the Colts are dire to improve in this offseason is in the pass-rushing department. Last offseason, Indianapolis brought in Justin Houston in hopes that he could help create some pressure on the quarterback.

In his first season with the Colts, Houston wrangled up 11 sacks, the most he’s produced since 2014. As a collective, Indianapolis accumulated 41 sacks as a defense in 2019 (16th in the NFL).

After a stellar season from Houston, the Colts need to find someone that can cause damage on the other side. With the team running a 4-3 under defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, Robert Quinn would be an ideal addition.

Similar to Houston, Quinn had a renaissance of sorts in 2019, tallying 11.5 sack with the Dallas Cowboys, the most he’s totaled since 2014. An edge-rushing duo of Houston and Quinn could give opposing teams nightmares.
