Brett Favre would ‘love’ to see Aaron Rodgers with the Bears

The Green Bay Packers are very aware that there is a good chance Aaron Rodgers will play with another team in the next few years. Following their decision to trade up in the 2020 NFL Draft for Jordan Love, Rodgers seems likely to leave at some point. That could give the Chicago Bears a chance to steal him.

While the Bears aren’t the only team who could pursue Rodgers, they would certainly make sense. Currently, they only have Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles on the roster and neither would deter them from going after Rodgers.

Count Brett Favre in among the people who would like to see Rodgers on the Bears. That’s right, the former Packers’ superstar is on the Rodgers to Chicago train.

“I would love to see that (Rodgers on the Bears),” said Favre. “Bears fans would probably be like ‘I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I am so glad Aaron Rodgers is on our team.’”

Adding a talent like Rodgers would take the Bears to a new level. They have one of the league’s top defenses and should still have that dominant defense in a couple of years.

Rodgers has received some criticism over the past couple of years. After his 2019 performance, some even went so far as to say that Rodgers was no longer an elite NFL quarterback. Despite the criticism, Rodgers is still one of the most feared quarterbacks in the league.

Last season, Rodgers completed 62 percent of his pass attempts for 4,002 yards, 26 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Those numbers don’t look like a “washed up” quarterback in any way.

It will be interesting to see what ends up happening with Rodgers in the future. If he does leave the Packers, watch out for the Bears.

Expect to hear plenty of rumors and opinions about where Aaron Rodgers could end up after his time with the Packers is done. It may be a few years, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on.
