CBS Sports lists Ravens as potential landing spot for Jadeveon Clowney

Jadeveon Clowney is set to be one of the most sought-after free agents in the NFL this offseason. Quite a few teams are going to offer him huge money and he will have his pick of where to play the next chapter of his career. One intriguing team to keep an eye on this offseason when it comes to Clowney is the Baltimore Ravens.

While they may not have enough money to lure him to sign with them, the Ravens can offer Clowney the chance to compete for a Super Bowl. They were the best team in the NFL during the regular season in 2019 and need to beef up their pass rush a bit more to take the next step.

CBS Sports has ranked the Ravens as one of the top potential landing spots for Clowney this offseason.

Reports have come out that the New York Giants, Indianapolis Colts, and Seattle Seahawks are all planning strong pursuits for Clowney. Baltimore may not be able to outbid those teams, but they can offer a great opportunity for him.

Clowney’s numbers dipped a bit in 2019 with the Seahawks. He played in 13 games with Seattle, racking up 31 total tackles, three sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one interception, one defensive touchdown, and three defended passes.

Those numbers may not be huge, but they show the kind of impact that Clowney can make. With a full offseason of work and no contract holdout holding him back, Clowney could return to being a monster. Baltimore would certainly help him get back on track and he could be the missing piece that takes them over the hump and into the Super Bowl.

Expect to hear rumors of the Ravens trying to make an impact addition to their defense. Clowney may not be that move, but it would make sense for them to try.
