CBS Sports names four free agency targets for the Los Angeles Rams

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Ronald Darby, CB, Philadelphia Eagles

The Rams made a splash when they decided to acquire Jalen Ramsey from the Jacksonville Jaguars. While that was a move that set the tone at the top of the depth chart at the cornerback spot, there is a need for more depth.

It was a down-season for Darby in 2019. He recorded 37 combined tackles and two interceptions and had just a 45.9 grade from Pro Football Focus. He’s still only 26-years-old, meaning there’s time for further development.

The decline in production Darby experienced last season is a large reason why he’s considered a ‘buy-low option’ for teams in free agency. If the Rams believe he can provide an impact, it could be worth the risk.
