Cowboys: 5 players to keep an eye on leading up to the 2020 NFL season

The Dallas Cowboys have had a huge offseason thus far and have put themselves in contention in the stacked NFC. After missing the playoffs in heartbreaking fashion last year, the Cowboys made the decision to move on from head coach Jason Garrett. To replace him, they brought in former Green Bay Packers head coach and Super Bowl winner Mike McCarthy.

Jerry Jones is only interested in winning Super Bowls and it doesn’t matter the cost. He made that clear with the amount of money he was willing to spend this offseason and may still have to spend before it’s all said and done.

Throughout the offseason, the Cowboys made a ton of roster moves. Among the biggest ones were re-signing superstar wide receiver Amari Cooper, signing defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, defensive tackle Dontari Poe, safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, and kicker Greg Zuerlein.

Dak Prescott was also a name heavy on the minds of Cowboys’ fans ahead of the offseason. He needs a new contract and Dallas has yet to get him one. They decided to franchise tag him, although many believe he will end up getting a new deal from the Cowboys prior to the start of the 2020 season.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at five players that the fans in Dallas should keep an eye on leading up to the 2020 NFL season.
