Fantasy Football outlook for the Falcons’ wide receivers

Spurred by Matt Ryan‘s 616 pass attempts (third-most in the league), the Atlanta Falcons produced the WR3 (Julio Jones, TE6 (Austin Hooper), WR27 (Calvin Ridley) and RB20 (Devonta Freeman) in full PPR fantasy football scoring last year.

Hooper is gone in free agency, replacing by trade acquisition Hayden Hurst. After Mohamed Sanu was traded to the New England Patriots, Russell Gage became the No. 3 wide receiver and had 45 catches on 66 targets over the final nine games of the season. He had five games with at least 9.9 fantasy points (full PPR) in that span, and he was WR48 in full PPR over those weeks.

The Falcons signed former first-round pick Laquon Treadwell this offseason. He’ll join Justin Hardy, Christian Blake and Olamide Zaccheaus in a battle for roster spots, with whoever does stick offering little of consequence unless the wide receiver core is ravaged by injuries.

Offense is not the problem in Atlanta, with fantasy football production to go around. Focusing strictly on one position, here’s the 2020 fantasy outlook for the Falcons’ wide receivers.
