Fantasy Football: Why Saquon Barkley Is Worthy of a First Round Pick

It doesn’t take 20/20 vision to notice just how dominant Saquon Barkley is with the rock in his hands. He recorded 3,843 rushing yards and 1,195 receiving yards in his three seasons in the college ranks.

The New York Giants certainly believed the hype, spending the second overall pick on the Penn State alum last April.

While that selection was absolutely warranted, he shouldn’t be going in the top five in fantasy drafts. He’s very good but not quite that good. Yet.

Even with the rest of the league in the pool, however, Barkley is still worthy of a first round choice. It doesn’t matter if your league has as few as eight teams. He should be gone by the time the second round comes no matter what.

There are three very good reasons why this is the case.
