Green Bay Packers: 3 Players Poised to Break Out in 2018

The 2018 NFL season is underway and training camp is in full swing. Teams are focusing on preseason games to find out exactly what they have and figure out who to keep on their 53-man roster. Mike McCarthy and the Green Bay Packers are on a mission to prove themselves once again after missing the playoffs last year.

Aaron Rodgers missed the majority of the season due to a broken collarbone and the Packers couldn’t figure things out with Brett Hundley under center.

Despite the disappointments, the Packers still found some bright spots from a bad year. The running game finally stepped up with Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones coming through in a big way. Ty Montgomery will also be back this season after missing a lot of time last year due to injury.

New general manager Brian Gutekunst had a much more aggressive approach to the offseason than Green Bay has had in years past. He went out and signed star tight end Jimmy Graham and also brought in Muhammad Wilkerson and Tramon Williams. In the draft, Gutekunst selected both Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson, who were both viewed as top cornerback options.

Looking ahead to the 2018 season, the Packers are once again viewed as a serious contender in the NFC. In order to compete for a Super Bowl, they will need some of their young players to have big years.

All of that being said, which three players are poised to have breakout seasons this year?
