Finally, Funchess could be utilized often in the red zone. He has the ability to run fades, slants, or simply move across the middle on a rollout and find a seam with his size. LaFleur and Rodgers are going to enjoy having him when they get into the red zone.
We aren’t going to predict that Funchess catches 10 touchdowns, but that would be possible. Assuming he stays healthy, the former Michigan standout should find himself having a big role deep in enemy territory.
Very few quarterbacks throw fade routes the way Rodgers does. Funchess should fit nicely into the red zone offense with his ability to connect with Rodgers on those routes.
