New England Patriots: 3 Players to Watch in Preseason Week 3 vs. Panthers

The New England Patriots will head to Charlotte this Friday for a preseason matchup with the Carolina Panthers.

The Patriots notched back-to-back wins to start the preseason and they’ve done so with big performances from some lesser-known players. Rookie linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley has been the talk of the town in August. He turned heads against Washington with six combined tackles in Preseason Week 1 and posted a 54-yard fumble return touchdown in preseason Week 2.

There are three Patriot players worth keeping an eye on in Friday’s contest. The first, a veteran receiver looking to prolong his career in Foxborough. The second, a former practice squad cornerback trying to make his mark in the secondary. And third, an undrafted offensive lineman with hopes of making the 53-man roster for the second year in a row.
