New Orleans Saints: 3 Best Performances from Week 10 Win vs. Bengals

The New Orleans Saints continue to prove that they are one of the best teams in the NFL. On Sunday, they crushed the Cincinnati Bengals 51-14 for their eighth straight win after losing their season opener.

New Orleans scored on all five of its first-half possessions. Drew Brees passed for three touchdowns and Alvin Kamara rushed for a pair of scores as the Saints built a 35-7 lead at halftime.

Things continued to go the Saints’ way in the second half. Brees notched a rare rushing TD in the third quarter, while Will Lutz converted field goals of 29, 42 and 41 yards over the final two quarters.

It was the third straight double-digit victory for New Orleans and the Saints’ fifth such win in 2018. They are now 5-0 on the road, with wins over the Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings and Bengals over the past eight weeks.

In addition to their offensive onslaught, the Saints also recorded two interceptions on defense. Consequently, New Orleans rolled to a two-game lead over the Carolina Panthers for the top spot in the NFC South.

Sunday’s victory over Cincinnati moved the Saints to 8-1, and they should be heavily favored over the next four weeks as well. Home games against the Philadelphia Eagles and Falcons await New Orleans in Weeks 11 and 12. After that, they visit the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Weeks 13 and 14.

Obviously, games aren’t won on paper. However, it’s hard to see the Saints not being 12-1 entering the final three weeks of the season.

Whatever the future holds, New Orleans certainly took care of business on Sunday. Here’s a look at the three best performances from the Saints’ Week 10 win over the Bengals.
