New York Giants: 3 Best Individual Performances From Week 7 Loss vs. Falcons

It continues to get worse and worse for the New York Giants, who fell to 1-6 in Week 7. They lost to the Atlanta Falcons 23-20, struggling on offense for the majority of the game.

I imagine this season has gone way worse than Pat Shurmur envisioned it going. When you have a two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback (Eli Manning), Saquon Barkley, Odell Beckham, Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram on your offense you should feel confident.

The thing is, this isn’t the same Eli from their Super Bowl years. He was never a great QB, but was always a a guy who made plays when it mattered.

Now, he’s incapable of a lot of things and he keeps getting worse every season. You may look at his stat line from last night and think he played well.

That wasn’t the case, as he struggled to hit on easy throws and made poor decisions throughout the game. The offense, especially Manning, continues to under-achieve.

Just today, the Giants moved on from Eli Apple, trading him to the New Orleans Saints. It could be one of a few moves this Giants team makes before the NFL trade deadline.

As for last night, even in defeat, the Giants had a few guys who had impressive performances.
