New York Giants: 3 Trades That Should Happen Before the Deadline

With the New York Giants season crumbling like a Nature Valley granola bar, they’ve started to move some of their players. I expect them to continue to empty house as the trade deadline looms.

The NFL trade deadline falls on October 30th this year. All trades must be finalized by 4pm EST time. If not, the trade is nullified.

The Giants will likely continue to be heavy sellers this deadline. They’ve already moved Eli Apple and Damon Harrison.

Apple garnered a fourth and a seventh round draft pick for his services. The Giants got a fifth round pick for Harrison. Apple was sent to the New Orleans Saints, while Harrison was shipped to the Detroit Lions.

I really like the move by the Lions to acquire Harrison. It remains to be unseen if Apple can become a stellar CB in the NFL.

For the Giants, they might as well move on from certain players, especially ones with less than ideal contracts. When you’re 1-6, you have to start thinking about the future of the team.

There’s still two days for teams to make moves to better their teams. Here’s three trades that the Giants could still make happen in that span of time.
