Josh Allen
With Tom Brady no longer a member of the New England Patriots, the expectation has shifted surrounding the Buffalo Bills. There is a genuine outlook for them to win the AFC East in 2020 and they will need strong play from the quarterback position to ensure it happens.
There is certainly room for more from Allen based on his production from 2019. For reference, he completed 58.8% of his pass attempts and threw for 3,089 yards and 20 touchdowns in his 16 starts. Let’s not forget, he also recorded 109 rush attempts resulting in 510 yards and nine touchdowns.
The Bills now have a legitimate number No. 1 receiver in Stefon Diggs and effective supporting cast talents now in better fitting roles. There is now more than enough around Allen to take the next step as a quarterback and build off what he had achieved last season.
There seems to be a strong commitment from the Bills when it comes to building around Allen. That likely won’t change in a year if he has an underwhelming season, but it could be a strong indicator regarding whether he can emerge as being an upper-tier passer in the NFL.
