Derek Carr
It would be difficult to find a quarterback that gets his name mentioned in trade rumors more than Derek Carr. It’s going to take a strong first season in Las Vegas for the Raiders to feel secure about Carr as their future at the quarterback position.
There simply hasn’t been enough success for the Raiders in the Carr era. They have posted a 39-55 during his 94 regular season starts with five of his six NFL seasons ending with a losing record. At some point, there are questions that are raised about the quarterback position.
There is a real need for the Raiders to put more points on the board in 2020. While Carr was efficient in completing 70.4% of his pass attempts, he led an offense that scored just 313 points, and that ranked 24th in the league.
After adding Henry Ruggs III into the mix, the Raiders should have plenty of weapons around the quarterback position to put up plenty of points. They now have a speedy receiver to spread the field to pair with talents like Josh Jacobs, Darren Waller, Tyrell Williams, and Hunter Renfrow.
