The NFC East was one of the lesser successful divisions in the NFL last season. The Dallas Cowboys held a lead in the standings for most of the 2019 season until the Philadelphia Eagles surpassed them. Meanwhile, the New York Giants and Washington Football Team each struggles.

It was a busy offseason for each team within the division. The reigning NFC East champions focused on adding talent on defense using free agency headlined by the signings of Darius Slay and Javon Hargraves.

The Cowboys lost plenty of key free agents due to salary cap limitations but managed to add no shortage of intriguing talents in the 2020 NFL Draft. In fact, it’s difficult to come up with many teams that may have had a better draft haul as they addressed roster holes with real talent.

The Washington Football Team was the first team within the NFC East to make a selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, using the No. 2 pick on former Ohio State standout Chase Young. They have established a highly intriguing front-seven but still face many weaknesses.

As for the Giants, they used free agency to sign James Bradberry in free agency to fill the No. 1 cornerback role. They also used the 2020 NFL Draft to emphasize their offensive line while adding more talent to their secondary.

With that being said, let’s take a look take a look at one burning question surrounding each NFC East team entering the 2020 NFL season.
