NFL: One massive bold prediction for each team in the NFC East in 2020

Dallas Cowboys (Will Make The Playoffs)

Last season, the Dallas Cowboys faltered down the stretch and allowed the Philadelphia Eagles to not only make up ground but keep them out of the playoffs. The Cowboys were armed with a great offense and a solid defense but their coaching may have been a big reason for their downfall.

Jason Garrett was let go and the Cowboys brought in Mike McCarthy. Will he be enough to get them over the hump that Garrett always crashed into? The Cowboys have weapons on the offensive side of the ball with Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, and Amari Cooper. In 2029, the offense ranked 2nd in passing yards and 5th in rushing.

The Cowboys are built to win, it’s just a matter of them getting their mindset right. Maybe Garrett was the problem. McCarthy has experience with good teams and also has experience with great players. If he can light a fire under the 2020 Cowboys, an NFC East title is definitely within their grasp but a playoff berth is a sure-fire bet.
