NFL: One potential surprising cut from each team in the AFC West

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Chargers – Denzel Perryman, Linebacker

A lot of Chargers’ fans are not going to agree with this move. However, Denzel Perryman could end up being a surprise roster cut for the franchise.

Perryman is 27 years old and is entering the final year of his contract. With the addition of rookie linebacker Kenneth Murray, he may end up losing his roster spot. Drue Tranquill is also on the roster, which could push Perryman down.

During the 2019 NFL season, the inside linebacker racked up 68 total tackles to go along with one forced fumble, an interception, and a defended pass. Not bad numbers, but certainly not great.

Los Angeles may end up trading Perryman, but releasing him is also an option. He may not end up losing his roster spot, but this is certainly something to keep an eye on.
