The NFC West features two of the best teams in the NFL. The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks were in an intense battle for the division title into the final game of the season with the Niners coming out on top. Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams missed the playoffs.

The NFC West has made many trips to the Super Bowl in recent years. San Francisco was the representative last season but came up short. The Los Angeles Rams fell to the New England Patriots in 2018 and who can forget the dominance of the Seahawks just a few years back?

The Cardinals are the only team not to make a run this decade but did so in 2008 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The running back talent in the NFC West has changed this offseason. There will be some new faces in the backfield of certain teams. The run game is something that carried the 49ers through the postseason in 2019. In the past, the NFC West has featured duel-threat running backs who can also act as receivers out of the backfield.

In the 2020 NFL season, the four starting running backs could continue the trend of putting up big numbers for their teams. Here is a breakdown and prediction of each starter for the upcoming season.
