Ranking the starting quarterbacks in the NFC North

1. Aaron Rodgers

This one shouldn’t surprise anyone, but for some reason, there’s a handful of fans out there who believe Rodgers may be falling off a bit. They claim last season was a down year for the quarterback — although throwing for over 4,000 yards and 26 touchdowns would be a career year for most NFL quarterbacks.

Rodgers gets a lot of criticism for his team’s embarrassing loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game. He certainly isn’t without blame, throwing two interceptions and gaining the majority of his passing yardage in garbage time. But, the loss was more of an indictment on how phony the Packers were as a 13-3 team, not so much on Rodgers’ declining play.

The pick of Jordan Love in the first round of this year’s draft also didn’t help Rodgers’ case, but Love ideally won’t see the field for a few more seasons, leaving the door open for Rodgers to solidify his Packers legacy in the coming years.

With all the naysayers starting to creep up, don’t be surprised if Rodgers comes out swinging in 2020.
