3. Teddy Bridgewater, Carolina Panthers
There are going to be quite a few who don’t agree with Teddy Bridgewater being ranked ahead of Matt Ryan. However, his numbers from last season and the offense that he will be in under head coach Matt Rhule help him deserve this ranking.
During the 2019 season with the Saints, Bridgewater was forced to step in for Drew Brees when the veteran superstar went down with a thumb injury. He ended up starting in five games, winning all five of them.
On the season, Bridgewater completed 67.9 percent of his pass attempts for 1,384 yards, nine touchdowns, and just two interceptions. He showed great leadership and poise. Bridgewater earned the big contract and starting opportunity he received from the Panthers.
Carolina is going to be a team to watch in 2020. They may not end up being a serious contender, but Bridgewater and company aren’t going to be an easy win for opponents.
