One player the Green Bay Packers should try to trade this offseason

The Green Bay Packers are entering their second offseason with Matt LaFleur as their head coach. Despite the Packers falling short of a Super Bowl bid, it’s safe to say that the team had a successful offseason in 2019.

Last offseason, the Packers surprisingly spent a boatload of money on Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith, and Adrian Amos to improve the defense. In the team’s illustrious history, Green Bay typically elected to go through the draft to better the roster.

But with Brian Gutekunst —the GM of the Packers— taking over in 2018, the team has taken a more aggressive approach in recent years. Without a doubt, Green Bay is going to be active once again in free agency in 2020.

With fewer than two weeks until free agency, the Packers currently have just $18.5 million in cap space, per Spotrac. However, that is inevitably going to change when Green Bay conducts a few roster moves.

Besides releasing players, Green Bay could look to trade a couple of their players to receive some compensation for them. In light of that, here is one player the Packers should try to trade this offseason.
