The 2020 NFL season is almost here and the Green Bay Packers are still a relatively unknown quality. After finishing the 2019 NFL season with a 13-3 record and a trip to the NFC Championship Game, no one knows exactly what to expect from the Packers.

Aaron Rodgers is still in town and he will be playing with a major fire under him. Green Bay decided to trade up in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft to select Utah State quarterback Jordan Love. It was a move that likely means Rodgers will finish his career with a team other than the Packers.

While the offense has plenty of questions that need to be answered, the defense is expecting to improve even more in 2020. Rashan Gary is entering his second season and a full offseason of work is expected to help him take a big leap forward in year two.

During his rookie season with the Packers, Gary ended up recording 21 total tackles to go along with two sacks and a fumble recovery. Not great numbers for the No. 12 overall pick in the draft, but he was playing behind both Preston Smith and Za’Darius Smith.

Entering his second season, there is a lot of hype and hope. Gary is a very talented player, but there is no question that the Packers need to see more from him.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at why the Packers and their fans should be excited about Rashan Gary this season.
